Iconosquare is a website that provides Instagram users with metrics about their following for free.

Iconosquare (free)

Sharing your photography on social media is a fun way to interact with friends, fellow photography enthusiasts and fans of your work. As a full-time photographer myself, I’ve used almost every form of social media to share my photos at some point. With thousands of followers on Twitter and Facebook, and over a million on Google+, I recently set out to build my Instagram following.
The problem I ran into almost immediately was the limitations in the Instagram mobile app. Browsing large numbers of photos from people you want to follow is tedious on a small device and once you’ve posted your own photos, analyzing their engagement and success is difficult. I began to look for a better solution and that’s when I discovered Iconosquare, a free service that connects to your Instagram account and provides you will all kinds of useful metrics to monitor the growth and engagement of your followers.
Interacting with commenters on your photos is part of the fun, but if you receive a lot of comments then it’s tough to keep track of it with the mobile app. With Iconosquare, the first major improvement to my Instagram workflow is that I can now quickly add comments and replies to my photos using my computer instead of the mobile app. The Comment Tracker tool displays a list of all your most recent comments, allowing you to interact with your fans and followers in a fraction of the time it would take using the mobile app.

Iconosquare’s Statistic Tools

Whilst Iconosquare’s media browser provides a much easier way to view Instagram photos in volume, the array of statistical tools is really where this free service shines. It’s broken down into six separate sections:

If you want to quickly check your stats then the overview panel provides you with a set of simplified metrics for the last 7 days. Love Rate, Talk Rate and Spread Rate give you an instant snapshot of the success of your latest photo compared to your 15 day average. If the larger number in those three tools is more than the small number, which is the average, then you know your latest photo is a hit.

Rolling Monthly Analysis

Where the overview section gives you stats on the last 7 days, the next section expands that to the last month, and gives you more specific information about which photos were your most popular for that rolling period. Here you’ll also find a rundown of your most-engaged followers for the last month so you can identify your biggest fans and easily follow them back if you want to. There’s a very logical progression of information as you work your way down through the various sections in the statistic tools.

Here you’ll find information about your own Instagram habits, for example what time of day you typically post your photos and which filter you are most likely to use. No surprises here. My most used tag is #photography and as a photographer, the majority of my posts do not have a filter applied to them at all.

The first couple of statistic panels gave us short-term information and the Engagement panel gives a lifetime overview. Quickly refer to your most liked and most commented on photos to find out what your followers want to see more of.

This section compares your most used tags with the ones that are most popular across the whole Instagram platform. It will also show you a very useful plot that allows you to see when your particular community is most active, thereby allowing you to target your new photo posts to the time when they are likely to receive the most engagement.

This is the final section in Iconosquare’s statistics and it’ll show you your all important follower growth metrics. Another useful feature on this page is an indication of who has unfollowed you in the last 7 days. When you are trying to optimize your content to grow your community, use this as an indicator for the types of photos that people don’t really want to see.

Checking in on Iconosquare has quickly become a daily part of my routine and it really fills in a lot of the gaps that Instagram has for those who want to actively pursue a larger following on the network. When you consider that it’s a free service, the amount of information they provide you with incredible.
The one major omission is the Instagram “news feed”, the tab in the mobile app that displays your latest likes and comments. When asked about this, Iconosquare told me simply that Instagram had not given them access to the API functionality that would allow them to include this. Since you can’t upload photos via Iconosquare either, it’s not a service that lets you cut the cord, but rather one that works well in conjunction with the much simpler mobile app. Given a little time to monitor your statistics, I’m sure you can use Iconosquare to increase your Instagram followers as well.

What we like: Bulk comment viewing with Comment Tracker, optimization suggestions, ability to add people you follow into groups and view lost followers, a wealth of statistics makes it easier to form a plan to grow your following.

What we don't like: No “News” feed as in the Instagram app, viewer has a very dark interface that could benefit from an option to view on a white background, no options to sort your followers.

Some of the best features of Google’s mapping app

Related image

Google Maps is a web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets, real-time traffic conditions, and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle and air, or public transportation. Wikipedia

We’ve all been guilty of glancing down at our devices while driving—to look ahead at the next turn, perhaps, or see how long is left in a commute. If you have an Android phone, there’s a better way: Google Maps has a whole series of helpful voice commands that’ll work whenever you’re actively navigating.
Just say either “Hey, Google” or “Okay, Google” and then try variations on these examples:
“What road is this?”
“What’s my next turn?”
“What’s my ETA?”
“How’s traffic ahead?”
“How’s traffic to work?”
“Avoid tolls”
“Avoid highways”
“Find gas stations”
“Find restaurants”
“Navigate home”
“Take me to McDonald’s”
“What’s the closest hotel?”
“Exit navigation”
You can also instruct your phone to make calls, send texts, play music, or look for your next appointment—all without ever taking your eyes off the road.

Open up Maps on your iPhone or Android phone and tap the little blue dot that represents your current location. That’ll pull up a hidden menu with some handy options—including the ability to save your current parking location. You can add in your own supplementary notes or photos and even set a timer to remind you when it’s time to move your car.

Need someone to find you—or maybe just know where you are? Take a look at Maps’ simple system for real-time location sharing.
To try it, open up Maps on your phone and tap the blue dot, just like in the previous tip, but this time, select “Share your location.” You’ll be able to set an end time for the location sharing or opt to keep it active until you manually turn it off. You can then select any of your contacts to share with or get a private web link to paste wherever you want.
You can also access the sharing function while in the midst of a Maps navigation by swiping up from the white bar at the bottom of the screen and then selecting “Share trip progress.” That’ll share your location with whomever you choose until you reach your set destination.
In either scenario, people who open the link will see an icon showing your current position on a map as you move—within the Maps app, if they have it, or in a regular browser window if they don’t. You’ll see an indicator at the bottom of Maps letting you know location sharing is active, and you can always stop the sharing by tapping that box.

That swipe-up-while-navigating menu mentioned in the previous tip has one other useful gem: an option to search along your current route.
Activating it will give you one-tap buttons for finding gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores, or coffee shops along your way from point A to point B. You can also type in your own custom search term—if, say, you want to see every Starbucks or Taco Bell that’s on your present path.

A similar sort of search is available in Maps, even when you aren’t navigating. Any time you want to find specific types of places near your current location or any other spot, tap the search bar at the top of the mobile app and try variations on these queries:
“Restaurants near here”
“Pharmacies near Figueroa and 1st Street”
“Vegetarian restaurants near me”
“Book stores near UCLA”
“Gas stations near the airport”
“Things to do near the Florida Theatre”

You can also browse to see what’s near your current location by opening Maps on your phone, and then scrolling and swiping through the Explore tab at the bottom of the screen.

The next time you’re looking up a location on your phone and then decide to hail an Uber or a Lyft to get there, save yourself some steps and order your ride from right within the Maps app. After searching for a specific place and then tapping the Directions button, look for the icon with a person waving her hand in the air as if she were hailing a cab (located directly beneath the address bar, between the walking-person icon and the biking-guy icon).
That’ll show you current prices and wait times for both Lyft and Uber, right then and there, and allow you to hop directly into the ride-ordering process within either app.

Most profitable Online Business Ideas You Can Start with little money

If you know the ins and outs of search engines and have technical skills in platforms like Google Ads and Google Analytics, becoming an SEO consultant can be a lucrative option for you. Many small business owners don't realize how much of an impact search engine optimization (SEO) can have on their business. Start your online consulting business by educating those business owners on the power of SEO to help transform their websites and increase their conversion rates.
You can use your marketing skills to show business owners the benefits of using analytics data, strategic keywords and content structure to gain more organic web traffic. If you are unfamiliar with SEO or want to brush up on your digital marketing skills, you can reference Moz's Beginner's Guide to SEO. Keep in mind that Google's algorithms are always changing, so SEO is something you will need to continue your education on to stay relevant and successful in this field.
If you have a great deal of business experience and knowledge, why not create a business that helps aspiring entrepreneurs find success? As a business consultant, you can use your skills to help new business owners get off to a good start and help experienced entrepreneurs keep up with demand. Your chances of success may be greater if you focus your strategy on a niche aspect of business consulting. You can start this process by following this 18-step checklist for becoming a small business consultant.
To add to your credibility, demonstrate your expertise and bring in clients, it is helpful to be present in the digital business community. You can contribute to small business communities like or write business articles on platforms like LinkedIn.
Larger enterprises can hire an agency or full-time staff member to run their social media accounts, but small businesses often have to handle their own social media marketing. With so many responsibilities, business owners are often too busy, overwhelmed or undereducated about the importance of a social media presence to spend time developing and implementing a great social media strategy. As a social media consultant, you can help small businesses determine the best tactics, posting schedules and content for their target audience. As their follower count grows, so will your business.
Facebook and Twitter are still the top business networks, but businesses often tend to struggle with more visual platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr and Snapchat. All of these platforms have huge consumer audiences, but many businesses don't realize how big they really are, how effective they can be and how to make them work for their brand. If you have a background in social media marketing and a passion for photography, focusing your consulting business on one specific platform, like Instagram, can be a great way to make money while helping other businesses improve their content and achieve their business goals.
There's an audience for everything, even if it's as specific as dollhouse furniture or organic dog food. With a niche e-commerce store, you can reach customers who seek your specific products. Building a business in a niche market can help you differentiate yourself from other brands and build your credibility and expertise. Look to social media or your own consumer needs to come up with a product to sell online.
To get your e-commerce business up and running, all you need is a web hosting service with an integrated shopping cart feature or e-commerce software or you could just become a vendor on Azorazo Store. To simplify the shipping process, you can work with vendors to ship products to customers on your behalf. This can reduce the amount of inventory you need to keep onsite.
If you are a creative, digital professional who thrives on forming the layout, visual theme, font set and color palette of a website, freelance web design may be a good path for you. If you have little to no experience in this field, you can learn the basics of web design and master the tools you'll need for success, like Adobe XD, Chrome DevTools and text editor software.
If you are more interested in the coding side of building websites, freelance web development might be your wheelhouse. If you already know HTML, CSS or JavaScript and have a good eye for solving problems with creative solutions, you can launch a service to build attractive, easy-to-use websites for small businesses. If you need to learn the basics of web developing before launching your full-stack career, you can take a simple beginner's course to get started.
Put your technical and creative skills to good use for business owners who want to take their online presence to the next level. Build a comprehensive portfolio, and then create your own website to show it off and attract a steady stream of clients.
Having a blog may seem like an outdated business strategy, since nearly everybody already has one, but the competition should not deter you from starting this online business journey. If you love writing or have important information to share, blogging may be a profitable business for you. Starting a blog as a business is very simple with website builders like Weebly and WordPress, but the key to success is consistency and quality. To gain a steady following, you must continually write and produce high-quality content that provides value to your readers. Content that educates, informs or entertains your readers gives them a reason to follow you.
Once you've mastered the creation of consistent content, you can make money through your blog by selling products like online courses, digital coaching, e-books or webinars. You can also sell ad space or sponsored posts. This business strategy may take a little more time and effort to monetize, but it can be very profitable in the end.
Do you have impeccable organizational skills and task management abilities? Maybe it's time to put those skills to good use by becoming a virtual assistant. VA services typically consist of basic administrative tasks like entering data, making travel arrangements and answering phone calls. Previous experience in this field is ideal but not required.
Companies like TaskRabbit and Zirtual make it easy for VA professionals to find jobs. They allow you to create an online profile and sign up for tasks you want to complete – including data research, virtual assistance or running errands – and begin building clientele.
If you love leaving customer reviews on sites like Amazon, it may be beneficial to look into affiliate marketing as a source of income. Word-of-mouth advertising is still a huge lead generator for many companies, and a lot of businesses are willing to share a portion of their profits with persuasive individuals who will promote their products to the public.
Affiliate marketing can be broken down into different levels of involvement: unattached, related and involved. Unattached affiliate marketing is a basic pay-per-click affiliate marketing campaign that requires little to no involvement with the product you are promoting. Related affiliate marketing requires you to have some authority and content on the product you are marketing, but you don't personally use the product. Involved affiliate marketing is perhaps the most effective, as you'll be marketing an affiliate product that you actually use and enjoy.
If you have a personal website or social media presence with a large following, affiliate marketing may be a profitable approach for you. PR reps are always seeking out brand advocates and influencers they can send free samples to.
Many small businesses don't have room in their budgets to hire a full-time IT employee, so when their systems go on the fritz, they'll usually call a computer-savvy friend or family member. If you are tech savvy and have experience working on computers and networks, you can eliminate their need to call in a favor by offering immediate remote technical assistance.
Although some businesses may prefer you to have a technical degree, many will look to your experience and knowledge instead. You can start to build your remote tech support business by reaching out to friends, family and local business owners about their tech support needs. You can also find freelance tech support gigs on job boards like Upwork
As merchants switch their sales to e-commerce, online marketplaces for handmade goods, like Etsy and ArtFire, make it extremely easy for artisans who can produce a steady supply of quality handmade products, such as crocheted blankets or unique painted glassware. If you have a unique craft, this is a good way to earn income while you're at home, doing what you love.
Startup costs for this business idea are extremely low if you purchase your creative materials in bulk from a craft supplier. If you can create and sell your artwork quickly, you'll be making a profit in no time at all. Local artisans find added success when they promote their businesses on social media.
Mobile applications are more popular than ever, with people willing to pay good money for ways to manage their lives from their smartphones. If you have a great new idea for an app and know how to code, you can run with it and create your app yourself. You can also become an app developer for businesses that need to create specific apps. Both options will require you to know the basic elements of software design and at least two common programming languages, such as SQL, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails or iOS.
If you have an app idea but don't know the ins and outs of coding, there are plenty of software developers looking to collaborate with people on app creation. Depending on your situation and know-how, you may be able to make a lucrative business out of app development.
